Where has the week gone?!
There have been sporting events galore to celebrate this week!
Well done to both our girls and boys football teams who have progressed to the next round of the district cup. Well done to our netball teams who performed brilliantly and smiled
throughout their matches this week and last but not least well done to our Year 1/2 children who participated in the multi sports competition at Princes Risborough Secondary School.
Not only did the children win the silver medal but they also won the ‘fair play award’. The children were impeccable and as always competed with passion and pride. A special mention to Estelle who the teachers from PRS congratulated as a star sports person.
Thank you to all of the staff and parents who have helped and supported on these events- next week looks just as busy!
Can we remind you to ensure that all children have appropriate PE kit in school every week. This should include trainers (for all years), a pair of black tracksuit bottoms and a school PE jumper. All children participate in sports both indoors and outdoors all year round.

As you know this week was assessment week in school. This happens every half term and enables us to gauge exactly where children are on their learning journey. The assessments are managed in a relaxed way to ensure that the school remains calm and happy.
Tonight is the Happy Circus. We cannot wait to see the performance and enjoy a burger (or two!). Many of the children were able to see the big top arrive today and enjoy the performers preparing for the event. Thank you as always to our wonderful PTA for organising such amazing events.
Whilst we hate to moan it is important to draw all of our parents to the following issue. We have noticed more and more children arriving at school from 8.15am. The children are alone and are walking along the path and congregating at the bottom by the school gate. This area is not staffed until 8.35am each morning and the children remain the responsibility of the parent/carer until a member of staff is present.
In the past fortnight we have received a number of complaints about unsafe behaviour. Unfortunately we cannot lock the ‘top’ gate due to access needed to the children’s centre. Any children on the school site before 8.35am will be placed in breakfast club and parents charged for the session. We must all take responsibility for keeping children safe.
On Monday we have our Harvest assembly. Please could all children bring in non perishable (in date) food? This will be donated to our local charity that supports our community.
We remind parents from Early Years and KS1 that we have our introduction to family learning on Monday 8th October from 2.15 till 2.45pm. There will be tea, coffee and cake provided!
We must say a big ‘Thank You’ to all of the families who make regular donations to our school. We have been saving for new laptop charging trolleys and are excited to say that we have been able to purchase two!!! Our next venture is to save for additional laptops for the
children to use. If you would like more information about donating to the school, please contact the school office.

On Wednesday our caterers, DOLCE, will be at the school from 3.15pm to 4.30pm with lots of samples for you to try from the lunch menu, so please pop in and have a taste.
