Weekly Update 13/07/2018

We can’t quite believe that this is the penultimate weekly update!

This week we have been treated to the Year 6 (supported by Year 5)
performance of ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean!’. It is such a funny and
lively performance and all of our children perform brilliantly. There
is one show left- on a Mondayat 7pm- if you have missed out. Tickets
are £1 from reception.

Next week is going to be tough as we say goodbye to our gorgeous Year 6 class.

On Monday Year 1 and 2 visited Crocodile World. They had an amazing
time and were able to collect lots of information relating to their
current topic. The children were so excited to tell us about their
adventures and made those of us left at school very jealous!

We have also enjoyed the sweetest assembly from Year 1 on Wednesday.
It was based on the amazing year that they have had and was a great
mix of images, words and singing. We have really brave and confident
children who never fail to amaze us.

On Thursday our friends from Princes Risborough Library joined us in
school. They are offering lots of activities over the Summer for our
children - please pop in and say ‘hello’ to them.

Today all of Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a fun session at the Risborough
Springs Pool. Swimming is such an important life skill and we will
continue to participate in swimming lessons in September.

We have lots of exciting projects happening within school over the
Summer.  Mr Mendes is always grateful for help - please contact the
school if you can spare some time for moving furniture or painting the
odd wall! We are super excited about how the school is growing and
want it to look the best for the start of the new school year.

You will receive your child’s annual school report on Thursday. It has
been a pleasure to read how well all of the children are progressing.

Please remember to order your circus tickets from the PTA- this event
has previously sold out and looks like it will be popular again this
year. Book early to avoid disappointment. The PTA will be selling ice
creams after school today on the playground- just what we all need in
this heat!

Looking ahead- we finish at 1.15pm on Friday 20th July for the summer
holidays. The year 6’s have a very busy week...

Monday 7pm - performance

Tuesday 6pm- prom

Thursday 10am - leavers assembly

We hope as many Year 6 families as possible will join us to wish them
luck for the next step in their journeys.

On Monday 16/07/18 at 3.30pm there will be a meeting in the school
hall for our new Preschool. This is a "Meet the team" event. Everyone
is welcome!

Please remind your children to bring all of their property home next
week- they will need to bring a named carrier bag into school (in
their school bag) to transport bits and bobs!

We wish you all a lovely weekend.
