This week we have enjoyed four performances of our 'Noisy Nativity'. All of the children from Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in the amazing shows. Thank you to all of our staff who work so very hard to put on the best Nativity! Every performance makes us very proud. Well done to all of the children and thank you to our fantastic audiences at every show.
Our choir have been in fine voice this week. They performed at the Princes Centre on Thursday. The children sang beautifully and were impeccably behaved. It is always lovely to be able to share these experiences with members of our community.
On Wednesday, all of our Year 3 and 4 children and staff came to school ready for an Arctic Adventure. This was part of their topic for this term 'Life in the Freezer'. All children experience a 'WOW' day for each topic they study. The day was full of excitement and activities such as sledge building and igloo construction. Photos to follow soon on the school website!
On Monday evening Mrs Baughan and Mrs Howlett were invited to speak at the Rotary Club dinner in Princes Risborough. It was wonderful to be able to share the story of our school’s journey over the last few years and how we have continued to go from strength to strength. The Rotary Club have been fantastic in supporting us and have very kindly and generously donated money for us to be able to carry out improvements in school such as buying new furniture for the children to use in our library. We look forward to welcoming more members of the Rotary Club into school in the New Year and thank them again for their on-going kindness and support.
We remind you that school ties are compulsory uniform in Year’s 5 and 6. We have noticed that as the term has progressed some of the children have either lost or are not wearing their ties. Please use the Christmas break to ensure that your child(ren) has all of the correct uniform for the start of term.
On Tuesday we will be holding our annual Christmas Dinner. Lunch will be served at the following times:
Years 1 & 2: 11.50pm
Years 3 & 4: 12.30pm
Years 5 & 6: 1.10pm
We have heard a rumour that Father Christmas may well be flying by........ we hope to see you there!
Don’t forget that next Wednesday is the Christmas Fair, in the main hall from 1:15pm to 2:30pm. Come along to play Christmas games, have your face painted or a glitter tattoo, make Christmas crafts, buy cakes and have a chance to win a fabulous snowman Christmas cake and some fantastic festive hampers. All funds go directly to the school so we really appreciate all your donations and your attendance at these events.
We are looking for donations of Christmas jam jars to sell at the Fair. Please fill an empty jam jar with some treats, and you could also decorate it to be Christmassy - we’re sure your child(ren) would love to help! Donations of cakes or mince pies would also be fantastic.
You can hand cakes or jars in at school on the morning of Wednesday 19th December, or bring them to the Fair. We look forward to seeing you there!
We hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you for the festivities next week!
