This year has flown by!
We cannot believe that tomorrow at 1.15pm we close our doors for the summer break (they will of course will be open for the holiday club!).
This week we have shed many tears as our fantastic Year 6 bid us a sad farewell. We have been treated to their final performance on Monday, danced the night away at their prom on Tuesday and today watched many memories in their leaving assembly. Wherever they are going next academic year we wish them the best of luck. We want them to know how amazing they all are and urge them to continue what they have started and fulfil their potential. The sky is the limit.
On Tuesday afternoon we were treated to a range of acts in our talent show Risborough’s Got Talent! This was organised by a group of Year 5 students who had the idea a few months ago. It was lovely to see how confident our children were performing their talent in front of the whole school. Well done to our winners Carolina, Bella and Martha who performed a beautiful dance routine. Thank you also to our 3 judges! Watch out Simon Cowell!
Tomorrow we will have our annual celebration and awards assembly- this year we have lots to celebrate and it’s always brilliant to see so many children recognised.
Please ensure all belongings are taken home tomorrow- sadly anything left in school will be disposed of.
We have our new school ties available to purchase from both the PL School Uniform providers and at our school reception- please remember Year 5&6 return in September with a shirt/blouse and tie as their compulsory uniform - they will look super smart.
We are pleased to confirm that from September 2018, we will be accepting Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare payments for breakfast club and Holiday Camps. If you would like to utilise this facility, please speak to Miss Mendes or contact her on firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange this.
Remember that children return to school on Thursday 6th September 2018.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the staff, parents, PTA, stakeholders in the community and governors for their continued support and unwavering kindness. Our school is an amazing place to spend time and is now truly at the heart of the Princes Risborough community. I have many highlights of the year including our DFE ‘Good’ inspection, becoming the substantive Head Teacher, watching our children thrive in such a wide range of activities and more recently being a part of the Princes Risborough Festival and hearing all of the positive comments about our growing school. Lastly, and most importantly, I would like to thank our children. We have the most amazing children at PRPS, they are kind, enthusiastic, creative and well rounded individuals who never cease to amaze me and make me proud each and everyday.
I am thrilled to be the Head Teacher of such a brilliant school and with Mrs Howlett (and our team) I look forward to helping it thrive in September. I wish you a fun filled Summer and urge you to spend time with your loved ones creating memories.
