This week we need to start with an apology. Due to the Year 5 and 6 children having a visit to Princes Risborough Secondary School next Friday, the mufti day (to support the Happy Circus tombola) will now be on Thursday 27th September. This allows all children to participate in the mufti day.
You may have noticed when you call the school that the recorded message has changed. Please take your time listening to the available options in order to select the correct option for you.
The options are as follows:
1. To report the absence of your child
2. To speak to the finance team
3. To speak to the preschool
4. To speak to reception
Our children have had a fantastic week in school and it is lovely to see all of our newest members of the school settling in and beaming with happiness.
On Tuesday we held the first Open Morning of the school year. It is always exciting to welcome guests to the school. We have two more Open Mornings coming up in October and November - please check the website for more information.
We have nearly decided upon all of our student representatives for the many roles we have at school. Well done to all of the children who put themselves forward for a position. It is great to see so many passionate children taking on new responsibilities with such enthusiasm! There will be more information to follow once all the roles have been allocated.
Our Year 3 and 4 football team played their first match of the season this week. They were narrowly defeated by Griffin House School. All of our children played well and as always showed great respect to their peers and opponents. Well done to all involved.
Next week is the first week of sports clubs. Please check availability ahead of booking on Schoolgateway.
On Monday Mrs Rowlinson and her drummers had their first Taiko session after school. It is always a brilliantly energetic and loud session - please speak to Mrs Rowlinson if your child would like to join in.
Our choir are in fine voice! They will be rehearsing every Thursday lunch time and will be learning songs from The Greatest Showman. Mrs Tennant is always happy to have new members so if your child would like to join choir, please let someone in the office know so we can arrange it! We have many concerts in the diary, it promises to be a wonderfully musical year.
Have a smashing weekend.
