Weekly Update 26/01/18

This week has flown by!!

On Monday Mr Romano joined us in school. He has very kindly offered some of his time to work in KS2 on alternate Mondays. As always we are really grateful for his help and continued support.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the incredible people who donated such wonderful books to the swap shop! The box is already overflowing and the children are really thrilled to be able to peruse the selection at their leisure. Anybody is welcome to take a book from the box, even if you haven't yet made a donation.

Enjoy reading!

Thank you to our Local Governing Board who are always a brilliant support to our school. Special thanks to those that have been in school this week looking at our English, Sports and Out Door Learning provisions. We love welcoming visitors to the school and especially love the chance to show off!! I think our school speaks for itself!

We have Parents Evenings on Tuesday 6th February and Thursday 8th February. All reply slips need to go to the school office for appointments to be allocated. This is an important part of your child’s educational journey and we ask that all of you attend.

Next week we have a busy week of sporting fixtures – all fixtures are at our school against…Griffin House, Monks Risborough, Naphill and Walters Ash, Stokenchurch, Manor Farm and St Teresa’s. Please return reply slips ASAP and support our teams when you can. Good luck to all involved.

On the subject of sport, please can you check all PE bags and ensure that your child (ren) have suitable clothing and footwear in school. We have noticed that some children DO NOT have a school PE kit and others have NO trainers/plimsolls. All children will have PE lessons in which they need a full indoor and outdoor kit and these should be kept within school for the whole week.

Mr D is looking for a new car! If anyone happens to know of someone locally who is looking to sell a car then please do get in touch, he would love to hear from you. Thank you – Mr DeVletter.

BIG congratulations to Orla (Year 4) for winning the Art competition to design a Thank You card for the school. The entries were all beautiful and it was a tough decision for the judges to decide. Orla received a prize (thank you Art and Office) in assembly today and the cards will now be professionally printed. We will share the finished design with you soon.

Please can we ask parents not to use either of the staff car parks? Sadly we do not have enough space for staff to park. We must also consider the safety of all parties.

And finally, this week we welcomed baby Oscar into our PRPS family. Many congratulations to Miss Mendes and her family on the safe arrival of your beautiful addition. We cannot wait to meet him soon.
