Weekly Update 28/09/2018

This week has again been full of many exciting opportunities for our children.

The children in Year 1 and 2 have all taken part in a candle making workshop. This was a WOW moment for their current topic. It was a new experience for most of the children and lovely to see them engaged and able to tell other children about the process. Our WOW moments provide such a huge variety of activities for all of our children. We are lucky to have so many good friends at the school who offer us their time and experience.

On Thursday both our Key Stage 2 football teams were in action against Griffin House. Well done to all of the girls and boys who played. It was fantastic to hear the match report and to hear from the staff from both schools how well behaved and kind our children are.

Thursday also saw many of us wearing mufti in exchange for a tombola prize to support our PTA. We only have a week until the Happy Circus on our school field! There are limited tickets left via the PTA. This will be a brilliant evening of fun and laughter so please do come along and join us.

Today all of our Year 5 and 6 children visited Princes Risborough Secondary School to watch a production about E-Safety. Online safety is vital to all of our children in the ever changing technological world and we are committed to enhancing their knowledge and understanding in how to remain safe.

Thank you to everyone who has returned their data collection sheets and permission forms that were sent home earlier this week. Please ensure that any outstanding returns are handed to reception as a priority.

Sadly we have had a report from one of our neighbours about children walking home alone and not crossing the road sensibly. If your children are in upper key stage 2 and walk home unaccompanied by an adult please ensure that they are staying safe and acting appropriately by talking with them about road safety and stranger danger. We understand that the older children need to develop their independence but they also need to be safe.

The children are all looking very smart in their school uniform. Please remember to label all items including the school tie. It is very frustrating when we are unable to return lost items to their owners due to not being able to identify who they belong to.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
