We cannot believe that tomorrow we say 'hello' to December!!
We are happy to report that all of the children and staff returned safely from Dell Farm. A brilliant time was had by all and there was much excitement around the night trek and visit to the zoo. Opportunities such as these are so important to our children's development of their independence. Thank you to the staff that supported this residential visit and to the parents for such lovely feedback.
Our Local Governing Board joined us in school on Monday to look at our English and Maths lessons. It was lovely to see the children beam with pride as they were able to show their work and tell us all what they were learning. We then learnt all about Saints with Mr Jackson in assembly - this was ahead of St Andrews Day today.
We have taken lots of our children to Princes Risborough Secondary school this week for sporting fixtures. As always our children tried very hard and enjoyed every minute - we have two more fixtures before the Christmas break. If you are able to help walk children to these fixtures please contact Mr Jackson/Mr Harris for more information.
This week we have had a number of children without PE kit and Trainers in school for PE lessons. We do not have spare kit to loan children - please ensure that your child(ren) have the kit that they need in order to participate in these lessons. Wearing school shoes for PE is not appropriate footwear and can be unsafe.
On Thursday all of our Year 1 and 2 children walked to the Town to post their letters to Father Christmas. This made the school feel magical and it was a delight to see so many happy, little faces. We hope that the letters arrive safely and we are keeping our fingers crossed that Father Christmas has time to reply to some of us.
Don’t forget Monday is the last day to book a Christmas meal for your child. If you wanted to also attend, you will also need to book by Monday.
Next Wednesday (5th December) at 6.15pm we will host our annual Music and Mince Pies Christmas Carol Concert in our school hall. Please join us for a glass of mulled wine, mince pie and sing song. Rumour has it that our newly formed orchestra will also be performing - this is an amazing achievement after only 3 sessions together.
Thank you everyone who has offered to help at our Christmas Fair on 19th December at 1.15pm in the school hall. If you haven't yet replied but are able to spare an hour please contact the PTA ASAP on . The Christmas themed Mufti Day on Friday 14th December will help provide prizes for the tombola at this event.
The rehearsals for the Early Years and Key Stage 1 Nativity are in full flow. You should have received a letter to book tickets - please return this to school at your earliest convenience. We cannot wait to welcome you all and get in the Christmas spirit!
The PTA still have some pantomime tickets left and have agreed to still accept forms/money on Monday 3rd December 2018 in order to allow everyone time to not miss out.
We issue raffle tickets every half term to the children in the following way.
100% Attendance = 5 Raffle Tickets
98%-99.9% Attendance = 2 Raffle Tickets
96%-97.9% Attendance = 1 Raffle Ticket
