This week we have seen all sorts of weather! Children need to come to school with the correct clothing, outer wear and footwear. Children without waterproof coats are not able to go outside at break times in this weather.
We would like to thank Mr Muresan for building our new display stage in the reception area as well as other wood work in the Early Years playground. We really appreciate the help all our parents give us; it really does feel like a community here! We are always welcoming of help no matter how small so please let us know if you can help with reading, gardening, tidying, photocopying etc!
On Tuesday Mrs Kirk and Mrs Thomson ran an information evening on Growth Mindset. This session was very well attended and thank you to all of you that joined us! As we have had so much interest and positive feedback from the last session, we will be holding another Growth Mindset session for parents on Tuesday 14th March at 7pm – we really hope you can make it!
We will be putting key notes from this meeting on the website soon.
We are currently looking at ideas to raise additional funding for the school and in particular the outdoor areas. Please contact the school office if you have any ideas or are able to help.
Today we welcomed 5 other schools to join us in the rehearsal for the Echoes concert. It was a lovely collaboration of children singing, it was very beautiful! A great time was had by all.
Our school council met yesterday to agree the questions for the forthcoming interviews. We are very impressed with the council and how responsible they are. In line with this the parent forum have met today. The key discussion points will be put in next weeks update.
We had a year 3 and 4 football match against Griffin House on Wednesday. The team fought valiantly but Griffin House had the edge and we lost 2-6.
Mrs Golla, one of our parent governors, joined us in school today looking at our English provision. It is always lovely to welcome our governing body into school to see the great work from children and adults.
Do you have any spare clean socks, tights, knickers or pants that you could donate to the school? We are really looking for items aged from 3-8. Thank you!
We expect children to be in class by 8.45am, if they are not there when the register is called, they will be marked down as late. The gate closes at 8.45am promptly, but be aware that your child could still be marked in late if the only arrive at the gate at this time. We strongly suggest that your child arrives before 8.43am.
Don’t forget we break up for half term on Friday 10th of February and return on Tuesday 21st February.
Don’t forget to keep an eye on the school calendar for future events.
Have a lovely weekend!
