Welcome to the first weekly update of 2017!
We would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and we trust that you all had a relaxing and fun filled break!
The academy conversion was successful on January 1st 2017 and we are now part of the Great Missenden Multi Academy Trust! We are excited about the next part of our journey and look forward to all of the adventures and learning opportunities that we will have together.
We welcome Henry and his family to our school. Henry has joined us in Year 4. We hope that you will be very happy here!
On Wednesday all of our staff participated in an inset training day about Growth Mind Set and Shape Coding. We worked with members of staff from the academy trust and enjoyed activities such as African Drumming. We have some new and very exciting ideas to share with the children!
It was lovely to see the majority of children on Thursday in the correct school uniform and footwear. Please can we remind you once again that the uniform policy has not changed and has always stated that our uniform is red and grey. Trainers are not permitted and pupils must wear appropriate school shoes. We have a supply of spare plimsolls which will be offered to children without the correct footwear.
Please can you all be mindful of the food that you send in packed lunch boxes? We have recently found some foods that contain nuts that even surprised us. These were Chocolate Brioche (by Pitch).
Although it may not be immediately apparent from the packaging that certain items contain nuts, the reaction from children and staff who have allergies could still be just as serious and could potentially be fatal. So please take the time to check the ingredients.
We hope you all have a peaceful weekend.
