This week we have all been in the festive spirit.
We started the week with an Advent Assembly on Monday. This was created and performed by the children in Year 5. As always the children were brilliant and the Governor that attended the assembly could not believe how confident they were when performing in front of the whole school. Well done Year 5!
On Tuesday we had our Christmas Decoration afternoon. The children had great fun making decorations and decorating their classrooms. It's safe to say that the school is well and truly decorated! A big thank you also to Mrs Richardson and our friends at Blanchfords and Askett Nursery for donating our beautiful
On Wednesday we had an open morning for new families and parents that would like to join our school. It was lovely to hear such amazing feedback and welcome so many new people.
The PTA would like to thank everyone who donated bags to the recent Bag2School collection which raised £140 for school funds!
Don’t forget that next Friday (15th December) is Christmas Jumper Day. Children can wear a Christmas jumper, something festive or their own clothes in return for a tombola prize for the Christmas Fair. The prize could be sweets, toys or games - but remember we’re a nut free school. There will also be a bucket at the main gate and reception for donations to Save the Children who are organising the national Christmas Jumper Day.
Friday is also the deadline to get your decorated envelopes into school please. If any other parents are available to run a stall for the Christmas Fair, or help set up or tidy away on Tuesday 19th December, please contact Briony Harmer email@example.com Thank you!
Thank you card competition - open to all children.....
Can you design a thank you card for school to use to thank its supporters? The winning card will be professionally printed and the winner will receive a prize, kindly donated by Art & Office.
Your card design needs to be on A4 paper with a small border all the way around. Please write your name and class on the back. You can use coloured pencils, felt pens or paint (the brighter the better!).
The deadline for entries is Friday 5th January.
And finally, today we were treated to the dress rehearsal of our wonderful nativity. We look forward to welcoming lots of you over the next week to see the show - you are in for a real Christmas treat.
Please remember to keep checking the school calendar for the events that are coming in the next week.
Have a lovely weekend.
