As we reach the end of the Key Stage 2 SATs week we reflect upon how amazing our children are. The pupils in Year 6 have worked so hard, shown great resilience and attitude. We are proud of all of their achievements and none of us needed SATs testing to prove that!
The hanging basket hooks are up!! Thank you to those families who have either already donated a basket or intend to. They are really helping the school to look amazing! Thanks to Mr Pope and his team of helpers.
Our family of ducks are growing nicely and our ducklings have definitely started demonstrating a teenage attitude! They are quite independent now and continue to make us laugh with their antics!
Can we ask parents to refrain from walking across the car park, especially at drop off and pick up time. We have lots of taxis in the car park and we are concerned for the children’s welfare.
The reception office is a very busy place and sometimes sensitive conversations can be taking place so can we please ask that parents wait in the outer reception.
When children are cycling/scooting to school, can you ensure their bikes/scooters are well maintained and safe to ride. Please pay special attention to brakes and safety gear, as these are so important! Please remind children to be aware of other pedestrians using the pavements also.
On Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 classes all participated in an afternoon of Samba! This is part of their current topic on Brazil. The staff and children all thoroughly enjoyed learning a new style of dance!
Please can we remind you that all children should have a water bottle, sun hat and coat - to cover every eventuality!
As part of our reading revolution we would like to let you know that the Roald Dahl museum are offering any family with proof of living in the HP postcode area, free access to the museum on Sunday 14th May, from 11-4pm!
The PTA have sent home letters today for customised Lego keyrings. If you would like to order one, please return the slips by Friday next week.
We understand that Fidget Spinners are a lot of fun to play with, but they are proving to be a big distraction and source of arguments for the children. Please do not let your child bring in any Fidget Spinners to school or they may be taken off them and returned at the end of the school year.
We wish you all a lovely weekend!
