As I write the last weekly update of 2018 I am reflecting on a successful year for Princes Risborough Primary school.
We continue to go from strength to strength with fantastic children, staff, families, community, PTA and Governors. We are our own little community and this has been evidenced at so many points throughout the year.
I would like to thank FIFAR (Friends in Football at Risborough) for their generous donation to the school. FIFAR are the Charity group attached to Risborough Rangers football club, and we look forward to continuing to work together.
On Tuesday we were very excited when we heard sleigh bells whilst we were all working hard! We were so surprised to welcome Father Christmas to our school. He explained that he had found time in his busy schedule to deliver presents to all of our children. He visited every class in the school before rushing back to the North Pole to finish his preparations for next week. Thank you Father Christmas!
We then had our annual Christmas Lunch and were joined by the highest number of guests to date. This is always a busy and exciting event that everyone loves. It's a wonderful opportunity for parents to join their children in the school in a fun and festive environment.
Yesterday we ended the term with our celebration assembly. The children have once again outdone themselves and have had a brilliant term in all areas of their school life. Congratulations to Zoe who won the attendance bike!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas Fair run by our amazing PTA. We enjoyed games, stalls, face painting and much, much more. These events are vital in supporting the school to raise funds for many projects and opportunities for our children.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support, your commitment to the school and for helping us to make the school such a happy place to be. Our staff are committed to the children and their learning and I thank them all for their hard work and enthusiasm. They are a great team who strive for the best.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope that you all get some quality family time and stay safe. We look forward to welcoming you back on Thursday 3rd January 2019.
