Weekly Update 30.09.16
We have had a great week at school with lots of activities including a cross country meeting. Our children never fail to amaze us with their enthusiasm and zest for all that they do!
Today we have all enjoyed the coaching sessions run by Lydia Bedford a female England Football coach. It is such a pleasure for her to visit our school again! We are giving all monies raised from today to the Stroke Association charity and we thank you for supporting us! We raised over £130!
We have put a copy of the Home Learning power point in the school website. Well done to all the children for producing some amazing pieces of work. We hope that you are finding the tasks varied and enjoyable. The feedback has been very positive from children and parents.
It has been lovely hearing the various music lessons that are taking place across the week. We have a large number of children learning instruments now and it brightens our days to see
and hear them play.
We would like to take this opportunity to formally thank the PTA for their generous donation towards the schools brand new laptops! They are now fully in place and being utilised by the children! We really appreciate the support you all give to the PTA who are then able to help us with larger projects.
Last Friday we held the first parent forum of the school year. We have parents representing most year groups. The parents that have agreed to take this role for the foreseeable future are; Briony Harmer (child in Year 1), Muriel Purkiss Webb (children in Year 1 and 3), Victoria Williams (children in Early Years), Kate Smith (children in Year 2 and 4) and Vicky Dollemore (children in Year 2 and 4).
Mrs Dollemore has kindly offered to be on the playground after school every Tuesday should you wish to raise any ideas or ask any questions. Please feel free to speak to any of the parent forum reps when you see them.
The idea of the forum
is discuss ideas to make our school even better. We welcome your thoughts and if you wish to email via the office please put 'parent forum' in the subject header.
Our next meeting is on Friday 21st October 2016.
On Friday 7th October 2016 we have a mufti day to support the Circus coming to school. Please remember to send your child into school with a tombola prize!
This week we welcomed a visit from Mrs Garlick and Mr Adams from the Bucks Learning Trust. It was smashing to hear their positive feedback about the school and how different it is looking.
Thank you to the parents who attended the 'Stake Holders Academy Consultation' on Wednesday. Although it was a small group the session was very informative.
Have a lovely weekend!
