Consultation on proposed changes to the Admissions Arrangements for Princes Risborough Primary School to take effect from the beginning of the academic year 2023 – 2024

The consultation period on the proposal to reduce our admission number from 45 to 30 from the beginning of the academic year 2023 – 2024 has now finished and no objections to the proposal were received.

Accordingly, at its meeting on the 17th February 2022, the Local Governing Board agreed the following Admissions Policy to take effect from the beginning of the academic year 2023 to 2024.  The Policy can also be found under the Policies tab of our website

This means that from that time the school will become a one-form entry school.

Arrangements for 2022-2023

However for the academic year 2022-2023 the school will continue to offer places to 45 pupils per year group and the admission arrangements are as described by the Buckinghamshire Education authority for all county schools

We warmly welcome visits to the school throughout the year.  If you would like to find out more about Princes Risborough Primary School, please contact the school office in the first instance office@prpglt.co.uk or 01844 345251.

For families looking to join the school, open days are held throughout October and November (held virtually if visits are not allowed on site) which allow you to experience the school during a normal day and find out more about us.  Further transition meetings are held in June/July once you have accepted a place for your child at our school.

Admission Arrangements

All applications for a place at our school must be made via the Buckinghamshire Council School Admissions Portal.

If a space is available they will contact you directly to offer it, and then notify us. If no spaces are currently available your child can be added to the Continued Interest list (waiting list) and the Admissions Team will notify you once a space becomes available.

Where there is an oversubscription the school’s admission policy (found under the Policies tab of our website) is applied, and applicants are placed on the waiting list held by the Council.
