Voluntary Contributions to School Fund
We are so proud of Princes Risborough Primary School and the progress we are continuing to make each year. We strive to create the best possible learning environment for our children and the School Fund is essential to this.
As you are no doubt aware, school budgets are being increasingly squeezed. For schools like ours the financial pressure is heightened - being a school which is not in a deprived area means that we receive over £500 less per child per year in government funding than the national average for primary schools.
We would like to invite parents to make a voluntary contribution to the School Fund. This vital fund supports our work in many ways. It enables us to provide an education for the children which goes beyond the core curriculum and provides your child with additional opportunities. Our School Fund will be used for the things that we would not otherwise be able to afford – this year we hope to fund workshops for the children to enjoy, to purchase resources for school plays, run local day trips, theme days and WOW moments. This all forms part of the enriched curriculum which brings the children’s learning to life.
We know that not all families can afford to contribute but we assure you that all children are treated equally irrespective of whether or how much their parents contribute.
A gift to the school can make such a difference and if you are a UK tax payer and can donate under the Gift Aid scheme, the contributions increase considerably. A monthly contribution of £10 via Gift Aid means the School Fund receives £12.50 which over a year would amount to £150.
I cannot emphasise strongly enough how important such donations are to the school, allowing us to continue on our journey to Outstanding. On behalf of all the staff and the governors I would be so grateful if you could make a monthly donation. A standing order form is attached along with a simple Gift Aid declaration form for UK tax payers which we kindly ask you to return to the school.
We thank you for your continued support.
