Welcome to Princes Risborough Primary School
A very warm welcome to our school. I hope you find our website informative and useful.
I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher at Princes Risborough Primary School. We have a wonderful team of pupils, staff, parents, governors and members of the wider community with whom I thoroughly enjoy working. We all strive to do the very best for every child in our care.
Myself and every member of the community at Princes Risborough Primary School are committed to ensuring that all of our pupils are ‘Learning, believing and growing together’. Regardless of their starting points, every child has the right to become ambitious, resilient, well-rounded and life-long learners who aim to be the very best that they can be. We want our children to be creative, confident with technology and highly articulate in order to meet the exciting and ever-changing demands of their future lives.
We aim to ensure both high levels of academic achievement and progress and also the development of our children as individuals. We want them to leave fully prepared for life beyond Princes Risborough Primary School where they can continue to make a positive contribution to society. Our values of ‘Perseverance, Respect, Possibilities and Sharing’ underpin all that we do as a school and what we stand for.
Each and every member of staff at our school works tirelessly to help and encourage every child to be the very best version of themselves. Our rich and engaging curriculum, our emphasis on Growth Mindset and our desire to constantly want to improve all aim to ensure that our children reach their potential academically and also morally and spiritually as kind, caring and respectful individuals.
The school is located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills and is just a short distance from Whiteleaf Hill and the surrounding woodland. As you will see from the photos above, we are incredibly fortunate to have such a beautiful backdrop, as well as fantastic school grounds which are vast and provide a whole host of different opportunities for outdoor learning. With an expansive playing field, three large playgrounds (EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2) and a dedicated nature area - complete with our own pond and resident duck family! – we make the most of every opportunity to take learning outside and be inspired by the world around us.
Unfortunately school visits are not possible at this time due to Covid-19 restrictions but please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. I would be delighted to show you around our school once the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted so that you can see us in action!
For existing parents, please remember everyone is welcome to contribute to the half termly Parent Forums so that I can communicate openly with you all. There is also the weekly newsletter home every Friday which provides lots of important updates.
I look forward to working in partnership with you all and continuing to take the school from strength to strength.
